How to Create a Part Set
Section titled “How to Create a Part Set”In UniCMMS, a Set (also called a kit or Bill of Materials) is a predefined group of parts that are frequently used together for a specific job.
Creating Sets makes Work Orders faster, more accurate, and standardized.
Step 1 – Navigate to the Sets Module
Section titled “Step 1 – Navigate to the Sets Module”- From the main sidebar, expand Parts & Supplies.
- Click Sets to open the Sets dashboard.
Step 2 – Open the Creation Form
Section titled “Step 2 – Open the Creation Form”- In the top‑right corner, click the black + Create button.
- The Create Set form opens.
Step 3 – Define Set Details
Section titled “Step 3 – Define Set Details”Fill in the fields to define the kit’s identity and contents.

tip: Mirror your SOPs Build Sets to match your standard procedures (e.g. PM checklists) so every Work Order uses the same materials every time.
Step 4 – Save the Set
Section titled “Step 4 – Save the Set”- Review all included parts and quantities.
- Remove any unwanted items using the trash‑can icon next to each row.
- Click Submit.
The Set is now active and can be added to Work Orders. When used, UniCMMS automatically pulls all nested parts and quantities from your inventory.
